I received the planner but have not yet started using it. I skimmed through it. This planner looks pretty but it just seems like something is missing – I didn’t think it provides enough space to take notes. I might still use the spread sheet I created. Nevertheless, I like it, coz it became one of my pretty books collection.
Score: 3 / 5
a planner should keep track of everything imaginable AND be super easy to navigate (very important when you find yourself going back to the best parts — and in this case, again and AGAIN!)
*bonus* when the pockets keep you organized with the odds and ends you gather along the way, space to sketch/paste ideas for dresses, hair, etc. is included, and *icing on the cake* when it somehow inspires you every single time you flip through!
love the checklists and tips (list of things to *delegate*? hello?!!). love that it’s scalable and appropriate whether you’ve having an all-out To Do, or the most intimitate gathering. love alison’s laid back style — spot-on for the chill destination wedding we all dream about. LOVE this planner!!!

I am recently engaged and came across this planner online. It has been extremely helpful in determining important planning decisions that I was unaware of. Most importantly, it has helped me get organized. I love the authors website-the images are crisp and her events inspiring.
Score: 5 / 5
This book is an amazing resource. I bought several copies for friends who are getting married and need helpful tips and advice to prevent the whole planning process from being overwhelming. The book is broken out into really easy to understand sections and covers everything from choosing a location to inviting guests to getting all the details covered on the wedding day. It has great worksheets to keep everything organized and even has pockets for all the wedding stuff and info you’ll pick up along the way.
Score: 5 / 5
You don’t have be to engaged or planning a wedding to enjoy this book! I recently picked up a copy to gift an engaged friend who is thinking of traveling for her wedding and was truly impressed with the ideas and helpful hints in this book. Useful planners are truly hard to come by and this one is a must have for all brides. The planner starts with a quiz to help the bride decide what type of wedding is the best fit for her personality- although I am not in the planning process, it was fun to determine that I’m a destination wedding girl at heart.
The book is also filled with useful information applicable to all weddings such as how to set a budget, a list of standard expenses, how to craft the guest list, important questions to ask vendors, wedding etiquette questions and so on. There are useful tools such as a wedding count down timeline and a gift log so the bride can keep track of everything in one place. Most of all this planer offers a peace of mind- if you read this book it will help answer so many questions and keep you on track with everything you need to do or delegate!
I also like how the book offers a list of wedding resources, unique ideas, fun websites and beautiful images from weddings the author has planned.
I used to give a kate spade calendar to my engaged friends to help map out their wedding planning but the paper quality and images used in this book are far superior quality! This is my new “go-to” present for all friends who are getting married. I highly recommend it!
