I need advice for our upcoming honeymoon cruise…?

My fiance and I will be first time cruisers aboard the Carnival Ledgend ship, I just wanted to know what to expect as far as dining, drinks, shows. What about paid services such as massages and special dinners, any idea how much they run?

Advice on Maui or Honolulu?

My fiance and I have decided for our honeymoon to go to Hawaii. We plan on staying at either Maui or Honolulu for 5 days then do the 7 night Hawaiian cruise so we can visit the other islands. The cruise ships leaves Honolulu. My question is whether we should just stay 5 days in Honolulu to relax and enjoy it or go to Maui for the 5 days and take the 20 minute flight over to Honolulu the day the ship leaves. The cruise will be docking in Maui for 2 days. I've heard that Honolulu is pretty much just like a city and very commericalized. is there anything fun to do there? Any recommended resorts?

Planning a cruise wedding… any helpful tips or advice?

We're booked for a wedding cruise in June of this year, so exicted! Anyone have any good ideas or helpful tips for this occasion? We can't bring any of our own flowers or photographers on board, but should we have little gifts for our family and friends coming with us, sort of like favors?? Any other ideas that we might not think of?? Did you or anyone you know have a wedding cruise? Did you/they like it?? Thanks!! :)

Im going to Maui for the first time in may. Any advice for a 1st time surfer?

I live in Dallas, TX (land locked) & have wakeboarded avidly for 10 years but have never been surfing. I am going to Hawaii for my honeymoon & need advice on whether to get lessons, what kind of board to rent & where to go. I would like to do a little longboarding with my fiance for one day, then trade the long board in & find some bigger swells (4-5ft)
Do I have false expextations thinking I can ride these waves?
P.S. I am a very comfortable in the water & not scared of getting pounded & tossed around by the ocean

Need some advice on my wedding … ?

Hello! My fiancé and I are planning a May 29th (a Friday) wedding. To start things off, we are a pretty laid back couple. We don't need to book a hall or anything because we plan on having the reception at his stepfather's farm. The problem is the ceremony site. We both like Squire's Castle, which is a nice "unfinished" castle in the Metroparks near Cleveland. Here are quite a few pictures of it:

http://www.deadohio.com/SquiresCastle.htm

Problem is, we live about an hour to an hour and a half away. But a positive is that a lot of my family only lives about 20 minutes away and Squire's Castle is on the way from the Castle to our reception anyway. My problem is this:

Is it too much hassle to drive from our house to the ceremony site and back again in one day? That could be 3 hours lost on the day of the wedding. I still need to get my hair done, and my dress is really poofy and would be uncomfortable to sit on. An alternative is getting a hotel room the night before for anyone who would want to, but that's extra money (and we just spent $2000 on a flight+hotel package to Hawaii!).

So I guess I'm asking if anyone has pulled off something similar to this and not been stressed out by all the driving. Thanks!!!

Destination wedding advice?

I am in the begining stages of my wedding and I am not sure how to go about it. I want a "destination wedding." The location is Pagosa Springs Colorado and I live about 3 hours away in New Mexico. I think I need a wedding planner but I want to do it myself however I have no idea where to even start. I don't care where the wedding takes place as long as it's outdoors and in a pretty area. I have no clue how many people to even expect to show up. Are weddings like parties where you invite 200 and plan for only 100 to show up? How early do you need to send out invitations to destination weddings? My wedding day is Memorial day weekend 2008.

All I know is the colors and general theme of the wedding. However, I have no clue about doing the rest of the planning.

HELP!!!!
For those of you who don't know, Pagosa Springs is a very small mountain town. They are used to tourists because of their hotsprings and lakes and rafting etc. but I think there actual year round residency population might be 1000 or so people. It's not a big place.

Advice for a destination wedding?

My boyfriend and I recently got engaged, and would like to have a beach destination wedding. This will be my second wedding, so we will invite anyone who would like to go with us to do so (particularly our parents, siblings, etc.), but will have a big reception/party for all other friends and family when we return.

Does anyone have any suggestions for locations? I have looked into Sanibel Island, Florida, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as we would prefer not to make everyone get passports to make the trip. Cost will be a big factor because we will be paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves (being my second wedding, I don't expect my parents to pay for much).

I would love any advice from someone who has actually had a successful destination wedding. Locations, wedding planners, cheapest times of year... whatever you can offer! Thanks!

Are there any wedding planners out there who have helped with this sort of wedding?
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Honeymoon Advice Please – I am trying to decide if i want to go to Maui or to a Sandals Resort in St. Lucia.?

Hi. I am going to get married next summer and i am trying to decide where i want to go for my honeymoon. I can either go to Maui, Hawaii and stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. Or i can go to St. Lucia or Antigua and stay at an All - Inclusive Sandals Resort. They both sound good to me therefore i cant decide which one would be best. If you have been to a Sandals Resort please tell me how you liked the experience and which one of the resorts you stayed at. I really appreciate all of your advice!!
