Location dilema: Hawaii or Colorado?
So I'm from Hawaii, but I now live in Colorado with my FH. Only my immediate family, grandma, and a few close friends still live in Hawaii. My FH's family lives in colorado, most our friends are here. I also have a lot of other family in the surrounding states. I want to have my wedding in colorado, but then grandma won't be able to make it. But if I have it in Hawaii, a lot more people have to fly out there and it wont be cheap because there will be more people than a typical destination wedding. what should I do?
also, 2 members of the wedding party live in hawaii and 6 live in colorado
Question about the difference between Islands in Hawaii?
My husband & I got married in Maui & honeymooned there. We loved it SO much that we're tempted to go back & stay at the same hotel but we're thinking maybe we should change it up & explore the other Islands..
Can you give me some advice if I sort of explain how we are?
Neither of us like big elbow to elbow crowds, my husband doesn't drink, we don't do the bar scene or much nightlife.
We're more interested in a gorgeous view, snorkeling, parasailing, relaxing in general, good restaurants & at least a convenient town nearby with drugstores, starbucks, etc.
We're more into sand & water than volcanoes or hiking trips. We did take the road to Hana in Maui & loved that but only for a one day sticky humid excursion. What do you think?
Would you have minded being pregnant in Hawaii?
My husband and I were going to start TTC next month. We just found out we have a destination wedding to go to in May- in Hawaii. Its for a very close relative and not going is not an option. It is a ten hour flight. If you have been pregnant before should i:
1) Wait until January to start trying that way I will be 6 months or less (depending on when we get pregnant) for the trip and I will still be able to fly. However, I will likely be very uncomfortable on the flight and possible unable to participate in some activities?
2) Postpone all plans of trying until we get back from Hawaii- which will be eight months later then we wanted to start trying.
Thanks for your advice!
How expensive is Hawaii REALLY?
We're going to honeymoon in Hawaii from April 19th to May 4th, split evenly between Oahu (Honolulu), Maui, and the Big Island. Which island is the most expensive? Is it expensive just to eat out at moderate-level restaurants? What about take out places, and supermarkets? How about souvenirs and such?
I've done my research on activities, tours, luaus, golf and spa, and we've booked a few expensive dinners (it is our honeymoon after all) but would like to know how much the day to day would be.
Thanks!
Did anyone do one of those destination weddings? Just the two of you in Hawaii on the beach?
Do you have any regrets about doing it this way? I am considering just going to Hawaii and getting married on the beach with my sweetie... I wish friends and family could come... but no one will really be able to. I would prefer a simple deal... and I like the idea of a sunset beach ceremony. We've been together for a long time and I've just never been into the whole big wedding thing anyway. What do you think?
Where can I find good vaction deals to like hawaii, bahamas or a cruise its for our honeymoon?
Weddings in Hawaii – have you been to one or had one? Let me know.?
Hey there, just wondering... Hawaii seems like a beautiful destination to get wed at. I am from Australia and was curious about Hawaii weddings - how much do they cost, how are they orgainised, and personal reflections. It would be great if I can see some photos from your wedding in Hawaii (if that does apply to you).
Thanks in advance.
Where is the best tropical place to go for a honeymoon other than Hawaii?
I want somewhere fun to go on my honeymoon with lots of culture and activities, but it needs to be affordable. My fiance's parents want to send us to Maui to stay in their timeshare, but Hawaii has never been a place where I wanted to go, any suggestions?
Ok so Im getting married next April, and we want to honeymoon in Hawaii, but we dont know where to stay.?
I need so great ideas on where to stay, what to do, how to get around the island, and places to eat. Thanks
