Need help planning a honeymoon cruise?

Ok. Date is non-negotiable, it needs to be September 18 or 19 of 2010. MAYBE the 25 or 26. But nothing else. And really, I'd like Eastern/Southern carribean. I'm not very interested in Western.

I had originally planned Carnival Victory out of San Juan 9/19. I like the itinerary. But I read some really awful reviews about the Victory, and Carnival all together, and cancelled. I've looked at Royal Carribean(Seranade of the Seas), Princess(Emerald Princess), Norwegian (which has a brand new ship, Epic, sailing around the time I want.), and Celebrity (Celebrity Solstice) But IDK what to do. The airlines are telling me to change, I have to pay $150, which means I need to find a ship that sails out of San Juan the same day (which is only Royal Carribean.)

So is Royal any good? Did I make a mistake cancelling Carnival?
Or is it worth it to just spend the extra money, change the airline tickets, and pick something totally different? If so, which cruise line is the best?

This is for our honeymoon, so we're looking for a ship that has a lot to do on board, but also has a private/romantic feel. I'd really like to be able to have dinner just me and him rather than share a table. We're probably only getting a Balcony room, no suite, so the balcony needs to be private. And I heard Royal's balconies you can see the people above and below you while their on theirs.

Really, any experiences, good or bad, with any of these ships would be GREATLY appreciated! I feel like I'm losing my mind here.

PS- neither of us has EVER been on a cruise at all, so we have no idea what to expect really, or what we're doing.

Can somone help me plan a cheap wedding with little effort on my part?

I thought about a cruise wedding. We can get the cruise itself for less than $800 but then the wedding package costs more than that and we don't even wnt that much. What are some other ideas? BTW, probably less than 10 attendees.

$2500 wedding for 50 people. HELP!?

Southern Belle mixed with Modern Western. Magnolias and Hydrangeas and White Roses. Peridot green and Sapphire blue. Black Damask print. October. The library from Beauty and the Beast. Nerdy but classy. Memorable and meaningful.

IDEAS?! TIPS?!

No long term wedding planner (I'm doing it myself). No generic locations. Open to destinations outside the south if it fits in the budget.

THANKS!

I think I’m getting SCREWED! Please help?

i'm having a destination wedding in little bay, jamaica in march. i found the most wonderful place, and was emailing the owner of the resort several times a day just to make sure this was the right choice. as soon as i put my deposit down (about 6 weeks ago) the emailing stopped. i got a "timeline" of what needs to be done for the wedding as far as paperwork and such. but after that, nothing! i did a lot of research on this place and found nothing but great reviews. i emailed 3 times since then asking when i can start correspondance with the wedding planner, and haven't recieved an answer. all of my guests have put down their deposit as well, so they already have a good bit of money from us.

should i be worried? what should i do? any legal action i can take if i don't get a response soon?

i'm pretty sure it's non-refundable.

Most Bang for My Wedding Buck?? Help!?

My Fiance and I are Grad Students so we are on a very limited budget. However, our families are going to help us out as much as possible, though they can't spare much either. We have a few months to start saving before we need to start booking venders. Regardless of where we have our wedding, a portion of our guests will be coming in from several different states. Here are the options we are considering to have out wedding/reception. Our guest list is about 100 - 110 (and this is the shaved down version). We would like a simple but elegant reception.

We live in Washington DC - everything is expensive here. Ideally, we would get married in a church and have a cocktail reception at a winery or such. We would have to purchase the alcohol through the winery ($) and hire a caterer for the food and service ($), and then we would have a transportation issue as well. Can we feed 100 on a cocktail menu?

Charleston, SC - We LOVE this place. Everything is cheaper down south, but it is a tourist destination so prices may be inflated. The guest list would be cut (some people won't travel that far) so that could save us money, but I would have to hire a wedding planner to handle the details since I am far away. Thinking about a wedding in a garden or public park, reception at a nice restaurant/banquet hall. Guests would order off the menu, we would pay.

My hometown/Parent's home - Church is .5mile from my house. We would have to rent everything ($), tent, china etc. We would make most of the food ourselves, but hire servers to serve it family style/ clean up. Guest Hotels would be 30min away, however. We do have ample parking at our. home. But.. its still a back yard.

What do you think is the best option? I am craftly and would love to do my own flowers, invites and crafts to help save money, if the location allows.

Help on best 7-10 days cruise for our honeymoon?

I want to surprise my soon-to-be-wife with a 7-10 days cruise for our honeymoon. Which of these two are better: caribbean cruise or Mediterranean cruise? Which is cheaper?

Okay, i’ve changed my destination for my destination wedding, need help getting started…?

No invitations have gone out, and its still 2 years away, but fiance and i decided for Colorado instead of Canada. Should we just go with a wedding planner or continue to look at resorts packages?
we're having about 60 guest, my family is from California, and Kentucky, his family is mostly from IL with a few people in California and North Carolina. Not everyone has a passport and not everyone is comfortable flying so this seemed like a smart solution.
we want a winter wedding with snow and possible part of it outdoors and part indoors
