which hotel should we stay at in Maui?

We are going for our honeymoon in August 2009, and having done a bit of research cannot decide between the hyatt regency and the sheraton. The sheraton seems to have a better beach, but the hyatt seems to have better facilities. We also looked at Wailea, but Kaanapali seems more lively with more things to do.
Can anyone also tell me how long it takes to walk from the sheraton to the hyatt?
Also.. where can I get the best deals as the rates seems to be very expensive (I live in the UK by the way).

Which Hawaiian island Maui vs. Kauai…?

My fiance is wanting to have a destination wedding in Hawaii. I've found the following venue and I believe they are in Kauai...

http://www.hawaiiweddings.com/

I always thought that Maui must be the loveliest based on what I've seen, I've never actually been though.

We'd go with a few relatives and I know they want to see and do a lot...so is it easy to travel among the islands if necessary? Which island would offer the most to see and do?

We are going in late May when the weather is prime and prices good.

Which island is the best to get married on? (Beauty and possibly accommodations/price)

How should we split up 14 days between Maui and the Big Island?

My husband and I are planning to go to Hawaii for a two week honeymoon. We have narrowed our trip to two islands; Maui and the Big Island, but we are not sure the best way to split up our time. We are looking forward to spending some time relaxing on the beach (my husband has never been on a vacation) but also want to take in some activities such as snorkeling, luau, bike tours, Volcano park, ect. We were thinking of spending a week on each island but are not sure if this is too much (or too little) time on either island. Any advise would be great (i.e best places to snorkel, best luau, or any "must do" activities). Thanks!!!

Advice on Maui or Honolulu?

My fiance and I have decided for our honeymoon to go to Hawaii. We plan on staying at either Maui or Honolulu for 5 days then do the 7 night Hawaiian cruise so we can visit the other islands. The cruise ships leaves Honolulu. My question is whether we should just stay 5 days in Honolulu to relax and enjoy it or go to Maui for the 5 days and take the 20 minute flight over to Honolulu the day the ship leaves. The cruise will be docking in Maui for 2 days. I've heard that Honolulu is pretty much just like a city and very commericalized. is there anything fun to do there? Any recommended resorts?

Resort Fee in Maui?

What's with the resort tax in Maui? I've just booked my honeymoon and after paying a considerable amount of money for the room, I've now found out I have to pay an additional $20 (plus tax) per day as a 'resort fee'. Does anywhere else have this or is it just Maui. It seems like a way to scam a few extra bucks out of people. So I get a free newspaper and unlimited local calls - I'm from Ireland, who am I going to be ringing that lives local?

Strange question…is anyone out there a timeshare owner at the Westin in Maui?

I got SO screwed out of the hotel for my honeymoon...if someone is a property owner, I can get a referral week and still be able to afford an even better resort for my honeymoon...will anyone help?
